About us
About Everholt & Co.
Everholt & Co. is a bookkeeping firm serving businesses across the US remotely, Texas-first. We clean up, catch up, and reconcile books, run monthly bookkeeping, and work inside QuickBooks. Each close is reviewed before you see it.
Our work ends at the books: returns, tax advice and audits stay with your CPA.
Quick answer
The dividing line is simple: if the job is getting the books right, it is ours; if it is a tax return, an audit or tax advice, it belongs to a CPA. That covers cleanup, catch-up, reconciliation, monthly closes and QuickBooks files, handled remotely for churches, nonprofits and small businesses.
What we do
Four services, one standard.
The full picture lives on each service's page — here's the short map. The method is the same in any industry, from restaurants to trucking to churches.
Accounting
The monthly close, financial statements, and operational accounting.
AccountingBookkeeping
Cleanup, catch-up, reconciliation, and a monthly close that stays clean.
BookkeepingQuickBooks
Setup, cleanup, migration, and management — Online & Desktop.
QuickBooksAdvisory
What your numbers mean and what to do next — once the books are clean.
AdvisoryHow we work
Five principles we don't bend on.
Reviewed before delivery
Every close, P&L and balance sheet passes a documented check first; you and your CPA get the reviewed version.
Reconciled to source
Each account agrees with its bank, card or loan statement. Books that merely look plausible aren't the same as books that are right.
A fixed fee, agreed in writing
The price for the agreed scope is settled before work begins. No hourly meter: the invoice matches the figure you signed off.
Secure by default
Multi-factor authentication on each login we hold for your books, least-privilege access and no shared logins; your data is handled as carefully as our own.
Honest about scope
We keep books, we don't prepare tax returns, and we say so up front.

What we are, and aren't
Being clear about this is itself the point.
A trustworthy firm tells you where its work stops. Here's ours, plainly.
What we are
A bookkeeping firm
Cleanup, catch-up, reconciliation, the monthly close, reporting, and advisory — the books your business runs on.
Working in your QuickBooks file
The work happens in your own QuickBooks file, Online or Desktop, so the file and its full history stay yours.
Remote, with your data secured
We serve businesses across the US remotely, Texas-first. Statements and files move by secure exchange, with multi-factor authentication on each login we hold for your books.
What we're not
A CPA firm
We keep your books CPA-ready and work alongside yours.
A tax preparer or auditor
We don't file income-tax returns, give tax advice, or perform audits — those stay with your CPA.
Intuit software support
Intuit handles QuickBooks billing, licences and product faults; our work is the books inside the file.
Credentials & company
The formal details.
Every engagement is reviewed by a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Credentials held: Intuit QuickBooks Certification Level 1, Intuit QuickBooks Certification Level 2, QuickBooks Online Payroll Certification, Client Advisory Services Foundations and Intuit Bookkeeping Certification. Verification available on request.
These are Intuit program credentials for working in QuickBooks. They are not tax or audit licenses, and we're not a CPA firm. What the QuickBooks ProAdvisor program is →

Work with us
Deciding whether to hand over your books?
Here is the honest next step — and what it costs, before you talk to anyone.
If your books are behind or messy, start with bookkeeping — cleanup, catch-up and a reconciled monthly close. If the trouble is the file itself, that is QuickBooks setup, cleanup and management. If you need the layer above — the monthly close, statements and reporting — that is operational accounting. Tax returns stay with your CPA.
What it costs is published. The fixed fee is agreed in writing once we've reviewed, at no charge, where your books actually stand — no hourly billing, no guesswork. See the pricing →
